The Bailey is a very cosy dog friendly cottage for 2 people (one Kingsize bed with beautiful Egyptian cotton bedding) with a wood burner, next to the castle in the middle of Skipton, officially the happiest place in the UK and gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. There are wonderful walks in Skipton woods or on the fells. Bolton Abbey is 10 minutes away and Skipton is full of great dog friendly pubs, restaurants and cafes.
You can hire a day boat on the Leeds / Liverpool canal, road or mountain bikes from us or even book a chauffeur driven tour of the Yorkshire Dales in a classic car! We have a beautiful, large enclosed garden, Sky TV and very fast, hard wired BT WiFi. We have just completed a full renovation including a new kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has parking for one car as well as EV charging available.

A most enjoyable 4 night stay, very comfortable, a perfect base for sightseeing in The Dales or a short stroll to the local shops, pubs, restaurants and of course the market. Added bonus was parking at the door. We had a lovely warm welcome from our hosts, Kay and Mark which added to a very pleasant stay....will definitely return.

Kay and Mark made us very welcome, the cottage location is ideal.The facilities are spot on even Sky TV ! It is a great place to stay whilst exploring Skipton and the surrounding area.We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
